This role focuses on a Senior Platform Software Engineer to own and enhance critical components within platform services and SDKs. You will drive team-level improvements in integration frameworks and developer tooling. Your responsibilities will include deep debugging across distributed services to ensure robust fixes and seamless upgrades for downstream consumers.

Key aspects of this position involve analyzing usage, performance, and error budgets for specific platform areas. You will implement targeted optimizations for resilience and capacity. Additionally, you will be responsible for authoring and maintaining team-scoped documentation, samples, and adoption guidance.

Take ownership of bounded platform components (service modules, SDK areas) and evolve their contracts for multi-tenant use. Perform in-depth debugging across a limited-service graph, leading compatibility-safe remediation plans.

Implement targeted resilience and capacity patterns, providing comprehensive adoption guidance for team consumers. Design software solutions, analyze requirements, and help identify needs to achieve business and operational goals independently.

Adhere to and propose improvements for all stages of the software development lifecycle. Develop new software features and enhancements following design specifications, and create documentation to clarify software design and code. Lead code reviews in designated areas to foster improvements and conduct debugging to resolve moderately complex software issues, developing fixes as needed.

Design and develop software, systems, and services aligned with pre-defined system architecture, and cultivate a working knowledge of software architecture decisions and best practices. Collaborate with team leads to ensure work aligns with software architecture, and implement moderately complex performance optimization and scalability strategies in software design.

Collaborate across teams and beyond to understand customer issues and align solutions, potentially offering technical guidance and support to customers independently. Coach and mentor others to advocate for customers' interests and suggest product enhancements based on feedback. Influence the team to ensure customer satisfaction through timely issue resolution and effective communication.

Follow development practices and coding standards, ensuring code quality and adherence to acceptance criteria during development. Stay current with industry best practices and apply them to software development processes, implementing secure coding practices to prevent security vulnerabilities. Perform periodic maintenance and testing operations for systems requiring upgrades or patching.
