As a Senior Platform Software Engineer, you will own moderately complex components within platform services or SDKs. You will lead team-level improvements to integration frameworks and developer tooling, and perform deep debugging across distributed services to ensure stability and smooth upgrades.
Your role involves analyzing usage, performance, and error budgets for specific platform surfaces, implementing targeted resilience and capacity optimizations. You will also be responsible for authoring and curating team-scoped documentation, samples, and adoption guidance to empower fellow developers.
Key responsibilities include owning and evolving bounded platform components, performing deep debugging across service graphs, and driving compatibility-safe remediation plans. You will implement resilience and capacity patterns, and document adoption guidance.
In software development, you'll design solutions, adhere to and improve the SDLC, develop new features, and lead code reviews. You'll conduct debugging, troubleshooting, and performance profiling to optimize code and resolve moderately complex API issues.
You will also contribute to software architecture by designing systems aligned with pre-defined architecture, developing working knowledge of best practices, and implementing performance optimization and scalability strategies.
This role requires a strong understanding of software architecture, including system structural design and best practices. You will collaborate with team leads to ensure alignment with architectural decisions and implement performance optimization and scalability strategies.
Issue resolution involves collaborating across teams to understand customer issues and align solutions, potentially providing technical guidance to customers. You'll also be involved in implementing customer issue handling processes and investigating complex product maintenance issues.
Adherence to development practices, coding standards, and secure coding practices is crucial. You will also perform system maintenance, including upgrades and patching, and drive improvements in automation, testing, and debugging to ensure service availability and reliability.
