The engineer will lead improvements in integration frameworks and developer tooling, conducting deep debugging across distributed services to ensure stability and seamless upgrades for downstream users. Analyzing usage, performance, and error budgets will be key to implementing targeted optimizations for resilience and capacity.

Responsibilities extend to authoring comprehensive documentation, creating samples, and providing adoption guidance to foster effective use of platform offerings.

Take ownership of specific platform components (e.g., service modules, SDK areas) and evolve their contracts for multi-tenant environments. Conduct in-depth debugging across a defined service graph, developing and implementing compatibility-safe remediation plans. Design and implement resilience and capacity patterns, providing clear adoption guidance for team consumers.

Design robust software solutions, analyze requirements, and contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, suggesting improvements. Develop new features and enhancements, ensuring code quality and adherence to design specifications. Lead code reviews, conduct thorough debugging and troubleshooting, and implement effective software testing and quality assurance processes. Optimize code performance and resolve complex API-related issues, including versioning and lifecycle management.

Design and develop software systems and services that align with established architecture, demonstrating a strong understanding of software architecture best practices. Collaborate with team leads to ensure work adheres to architectural guidelines and implement strategies for performance optimization and scalability.

Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand and resolve customer issues, potentially providing direct technical guidance. Mentor team members, advocate for customer needs, and suggest product enhancements based on feedback. Implement processes for handling customer issues and defects, and investigate complex product maintenance challenges to deliver satisfactory short- and long-term solutions.
