We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to contribute to our Azure Platform Engineering team. This role focuses on developing best-in-class Azure Platform capabilities, providing automated cloud infrastructure to application development and operations teams. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of our cloud services.

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will implement robust solutions for managing Mastercard’s Azure infrastructure using code. You will actively engage in and enhance the entire lifecycle of Azure platform services, from initial development through deployment and ongoing operation.

Your responsibilities will include scaling systems sustainably via automation, driving improvements for reliability and velocity, and designing and developing scalable platform solutions. You will also practice sustainable incident response and conduct blameless postmortems.

Ideal candidates possess a strong background in Computer Science or Software Engineering, with proven experience in Azure infrastructure provisioning using automation tools like Terraform. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, or Bash is essential, alongside experience with DevOps tools like ADO, Jenkins, and BitBucket.

We require expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale systems, with a systematic problem-solving approach and excellent communication skills. A solid understanding of Logging, Monitoring, and Alerting best practices, as well as software deployment and configuration automation, is crucial. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is necessary. Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems is also expected.
