The Cloud Platform team at Mastercard focuses on developing best-in-breed Azure Platform capabilities. We provide application development teams with automated cloud infrastructure, enhancing the efficiency of software engineering and operations.

This role is integral to empowering development teams with robust Azure platform services, enabling them to build and deploy solutions seamlessly. We are looking for engineers who are passionate about cloud infrastructure and automation.

Implement infrastructure-as-code solutions for managing Mastercard's Azure environment.

Enhance the Azure platform lifecycle, from development and deployment through operation and ongoing refinement.

Scale systems sustainably using automation and drive system evolution for improved reliability and velocity.

Design and develop scalable platform solutions.

Practice effective incident response and conduct blameless postmortems.

Demonstrated experience in Computer Science or Software Engineering fields.

Proficiency in Azure infrastructure provisioning using automation tools like Terraform.

Programming expertise in at least one language such as Python, Java, Go, or Bash.

Experience with DevOps tools including ADO, Jenkins, BitBucket, Artifactory, and SonarQube.

Understanding of best practices for Logging, Monitoring, and Alerting solutions.

Experience with software deployment and configuration automation.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving programming is required.

Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale systems is essential.

Ability to debug and optimize code, along with automating routine tasks.

A systematic problem-solving approach, strong communication skills, and a proactive drive are crucial.

Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems.

This role involves contributing to design, architecture, process, and development discussions, as well as assisting with deployment, scaling, and performance tuning on Azure. Continuous learning about the latest Azure updates and capabilities is expected.
