As a Senior Platform Architect within Infrastructure Design Services, you will be instrumental in analyzing and designing robust infrastructure frameworks tailored to application, platform, and system requirements. This role ensures alignment with Mastercard's operational standards and principles from the initial stages of analysis and design.
You will collaborate closely with application teams and other critical internal groups to guarantee that the infrastructure and application architecture meets Mastercard's stringent security, design, and availability standards. A key deliverable will be the Technical Architecture Document (TAD), which meticulously details the infrastructure design for various applications, platforms, and systems.
Key responsibilities include generating comprehensive requirements in collaboration with architects, engineers, and users, ensuring all high-level needs are met. You will address internet architectural and operational challenges that affect global infrastructure and product availability.
Generate detailed technical architecture documents, logical flows, and models to maintain user and stakeholder alignment on evolving application, system, or platform designs. Ensure all architectural products are current and up-to-date.
Research and evaluate emerging technologies for potential integration into Mastercard's infrastructure. You may also lead regional projects, taking full accountability for planning, time and cost control, resource utilization, and successful implementation.
Implement, manage, and support internet infrastructure components using current standards and best practices. Perform problem diagnosis, performance tuning, capacity planning, and configuration management for all Mastercard internet components.
Maintain system stability and ensure future compatibility by monitoring the production execution of all relevant systems.
A strong foundation in network principles, operating systems, and web architecture is essential. You should possess in-depth knowledge of core internet infrastructure design functions and web administration.
Demonstrated expertise in Load Balancers, firewall policies and configurations, and failover strategies is required. A deep understanding of disaster failover techniques and routing strategies is also critical.
Familiarity with cloud design and architecture principles is expected. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with strong relationship-building and collaborative abilities, are necessary for working effectively within diverse, geographically distributed teams.
This role demands a high-energy, proactive, and detail-oriented individual capable of performing under pressure in an independent setting.
