We are seeking a Senior Platform Architect to join our Infrastructure Engineering team. This role is crucial for designing and advancing secure, scalable, and resilient enterprise infrastructure platforms that support Mastercard's vital business services. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking technology leader with profound expertise in enterprise architecture, infrastructure engineering, and cloud computing.

As a Senior Platform Architect, you will spearhead the architecture, design, and delivery of highly available, scalable, and secure enterprise infrastructure solutions across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Network, Security, Cloud, Database, Middleware, Product, and Program Management teams to craft infrastructure strategies that align with business and technology objectives.

Key responsibilities include driving infrastructure solution development from initial business engagement through architecture reviews, financial approvals, procurement, implementation, operational readiness, and production deployment. You will design resilient networking, application delivery, and security architectures, incorporating enterprise technologies like load balancing, web application firewalls, API gateways, and distributed platforms. Leading infrastructure modernization initiatives focused on automation, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), platform standardization, performance, resiliency, and operational excellence will be central to this role. Furthermore, you will develop enterprise architecture standards, technical roadmaps, and comprehensive infrastructure documentation, while mentoring engineering teams and promoting best practices.

We are looking for a candidate with deep expertise in enterprise infrastructure architecture, spanning data center, hybrid cloud, and distributed computing environments. A strong understanding of enterprise networking, application delivery, and infrastructure security, including Zero Trust principles and contemporary network architectures, is essential. Experience in designing and supporting enterprise platforms using VMware, major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), load balancing, web application firewalls, API gateways, and distributed infrastructure is required.

Proficiency in infrastructure automation, Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible), CI/CD integration, and configuration management using tools like Git, Bitbucket, and Jenkins is critical. The ability to architect and deliver highly available, resilient, and secure infrastructure solutions, coupled with effective collaboration across cross-functional engineering and business teams, is a must. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the capacity to influence both technical and executive stakeholders, are also vital.
