Our Infrastructure Design Services team is seeking a Senior Platform Architect to analyze and design robust infrastructure frameworks. This role is crucial in ensuring our application and platform architectures align with MasterCard's stringent security, scalability, and availability standards from the outset.
The primary output of this role is the Technical Architecture Document (TAD), detailing comprehensive infrastructure designs. This position demands a strong understanding of internet fundamentals, including web servers, application servers, and internet security, to deliver innovative infrastructure solutions.
Crafting detailed technical architecture documents (TADs), logical flows, and models to ensure stakeholder alignment.
Resolving complex internet architectural and operational issues that affect global infrastructure availability and performance.
Evaluating and researching emerging technologies for integration into MasterCard's internet infrastructure.
Potentially leading regional projects, managing timelines, costs, resources, and implementation efforts.
Implementing, managing, and supporting internet infrastructure components in adherence to best practices and current standards.
A solid foundation in network principles, operating systems, and web middleware is essential.
Demonstrated expertise in internet infrastructure design and/or web administration is required.
Advanced knowledge of load balancers and web application firewalls is a key requirement.
Familiarity with database technologies and cloud environments is necessary.
Candidates must be energetic, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently under pressure.
Exceptional initiative, self-motivation, and a drive for results are critical.
Strong verbal and written communication, relationship management, and organizational skills are expected, along with the ability to collaborate effectively within diverse, geographically distributed teams.
A strong willingness and capacity to learn and embrace new challenges are vital.
