Join Oracle's Customer Success Services (CSS) team as a Senior Oracle Database Administrator. You'll be instrumental in managing and maintaining critical business systems for Oracle clients, ensuring seamless operations. This role involves providing expert technical support, resolving production issues, optimizing database performance, and maintaining high availability across diverse Oracle environments.

Our CSS team plays a vital role in supporting these solutions, working closely with customers to uphold the integrity and efficiency of their business-critical systems.
Key responsibilities include the comprehensive management and monitoring of Oracle databases within production settings. You will provide essential support for Oracle Exadata, RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN environments, diligently investigating and resolving issues related to performance, availability, backups, recovery, and patching.
This role also involves performing essential database lifecycle activities such as installation, upgrades, migrations, and patching. You will be crucial in handling critical production incidents, ensuring prompt communication with customers and internal teams. Additionally, executing backup and recovery procedures, including complex scenarios, and monitoring overall database health to recommend enhancements are core duties.
We are seeking experienced professionals with 6 to 15 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA in production environments. A strong foundation in Oracle database administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning is essential.
Candidates must possess practical experience with Oracle Exadata architecture and administration, coupled with a solid understanding of Oracle RAC and ASM. Proficiency in Data Guard, including Physical Standby, Active Data Guard, and Data Guard Broker, is required. Extensive experience with RMAN for backup, restore, and recovery, especially in critical scenarios, is also a must.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex performance, availability, RAC/ASM, backup/recovery, and patching issues under pressure is vital. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the flexibility to work shifts and weekends are necessary. Experience with Oracle GoldenGate, ZDLRA, or Logical Data Guard, along with relevant Oracle certifications, are considered advantageous.
