Key responsibilities include administering and supporting Oracle databases on Exadata and RAC/ASM environments. You will troubleshoot complex issues related to performance, availability, backups, Data Guard, and infrastructure. This involves performing database upgrades, migrations, installations, and patching, as well as managing RMAN backup/recovery and Data Guard configurations.
Further duties encompass performance analysis with proactive improvement recommendations, timely resolution of critical production incidents, and close collaboration with global engineering and support teams. Maintaining high standards of availability, reliability, customer satisfaction, and engineering quality is paramount.
We seek candidates with 6-10+ years of extensive hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration and Engineering within enterprise production settings. Essential skills include strong Oracle Database Administration and Troubleshooting, in-depth knowledge of Oracle Exadata architecture and administration, and advanced experience with Oracle RAC and ASM.
Proficiency in Oracle Database Performance Tuning, Data Guard (Physical Standby, Active Data Guard, Data Guard Broker), and RMAN Backup, Restore & Recovery is required. Experience with Database Installation, Upgrades, Migrations, and Patching is crucial. You must possess strong production troubleshooting skills across performance, availability, RAC/ASM, backup/recovery, and patching, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex incidents under pressure. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a service/support mindset, and a willingness to work shifts and weekends are also necessary.
