Join EY as a Senior Network Engineer (WAN) within Global Connectivity Solutions (GCS). This role is crucial for enhancing our enterprise WAN infrastructure through vulnerability remediation, lifecycle management, and software upgrades. You will provide technical leadership for deployments, complex troubleshooting, and service restoration, leveraging your expertise in Cisco Routing and Switching, Versa SD-WAN, and related connectivity platforms.

This position collaborates with various internal teams and external partners to ensure the network remains current, secure, and performs optimally with minimal disruption to business operations.

Drive comprehensive vulnerability remediation across Versa SD-WAN and Cisco platforms. Execute software and firmware upgrades on critical network devices, ensuring compliance with engineering standards. Assess vendor security advisories and translate findings into actionable lifecycle activities.

Manage software lifecycle and platform currency for WAN infrastructure. Plan and execute code upgrades, patch deployments, and technology refreshes. Perform detailed pre-upgrade assessments, risk analysis, and post-upgrade health checks. Prepare detailed implementation plans, rollback procedures, and technical documentation for CAB reviews.

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline is required, alongside 7-10 years of enterprise WAN network engineering experience. Essential skills include strong hands-on knowledge of Versa SD-WAN, Cisco routing and switching platforms, and advanced understanding of BGP and OSPF. Experience troubleshooting WAN links, ISP circuits, and SD-WAN fabric health is vital.

Proficiency in ITIL practices (Change, Incident, Problem, Risk, Release Management) and the ability to prepare comprehensive technical documentation and CAB presentations are expected. Knowledge of network monitoring, observability, and automation platforms is beneficial. Automation or scripting experience with Python or Ansible is a plus. A CCNA certification is required, with CCNP Enterprise being preferred.
