Join our innovative Data Center Engineering team, shaping the physical infrastructure of our cutting-edge data centers. You'll contribute to a research-driven environment, tackling complex challenges like power utilization and sustainable facility operations.

As a visionary, you will optimize for efficiency and continuously seek improvements, no matter how small. Your role involves generating insightful ideas, presenting recommendations to senior leadership, and driving implementation with facilities technicians. You'll ensure code and standard compliance, develop infrastructure enhancements, and serve as a subject matter expert in areas such as cooling or electrical systems.

This position directly supports our AI2 mission, ensuring the rapid and secure development of AI infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with partners, customers, and key stakeholders to define and communicate mechanical, HVAC, and MEP design plans, as well as long-term strategies. Drive new program initiatives from conception to execution.

Oversee diverse work programs, engaging teams and engineers to establish development, deployment, and delivery timelines for data center services and infrastructure. Develop comprehensive project documentation, including mechanical and MEP calculations, product selection criteria, quality assurance documents, compliance metrics, process maps, presentations, and status reports.

Analyze service and system performance data to generate actionable recommendations. Conduct robust quantitative analysis, interpreting technical and commercial information from various sources.

Take full ownership of delivering project milestones on schedule.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required. Candidates must possess at least 5 years of experience in mission-critical facility design and construction.

Demonstrated experience in project management, vendor relations, and stakeholder engagement is essential. Proficiency in understanding and developing mechanical infrastructure and MEP design plans and strategies is expected.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a related discipline. Experience managing data center infrastructure and fit-out projects, including partner and vendor management and tool customization, is highly valued. Familiarity with greenfield fit-out construction, permitting processes, statutory requirements, and local industry standards and codes is beneficial.
