Join our dynamic team as a Senior Manager, Technical Program Manager, and lead the development of critical systems powering global operations. You'll oversee the creation and scaling of services for reservations, pricing, fleet allocation, and customer experiences within a high-volume, transaction-rich environment. Your leadership will ensure system reliability, performance, and alignment with business objectives.

This role involves close collaboration with Product, Architecture, QA, and Operations to transform complex requirements into robust, API-driven solutions. You will manage sprint execution, conduct code reviews, address production incidents, and foster engineering excellence across the team. A key focus will be on modernizing our platform by migrating legacy systems to cloud-native microservices, enhancing observability, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.

Drive the design and development of scalable backend systems and microservices, including architectural decisions and technology selection. Own the full software project lifecycle, from requirements gathering through to deployment, coordinating multiple workstreams for timely delivery. Mentor and develop engineers and Tech Leads, supporting their career progression and building high-performing teams. Partner with product management, frontend, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions and deliver end-to-end features. Champion best practices in code quality, security, performance, and maintainability, incorporating code reviews, robust testing, and CI/CD integration. Effectively troubleshoot and resolve complex production technical issues, leading root-cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Actively participate in sprint planning, design reviews, and architectural discussions, balancing technical trade-offs for extensibility, reliability, and scalability. Manage project risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications, providing clear status updates and proactively resolving obstacles. Define and enforce quality assurance and testing standards, collaborating with QA leads to integrate automated and manual testing into the development lifecycle. Promote modern development methodologies (Agile/Scrum) and DevOps practices (CI/CD, containerization, cloud platforms), integrating emerging technologies where appropriate.

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is required. Bring over 10 years of software engineering experience, demonstrating a strong history of building complex, distributed systems. Possess extensive expertise in at least one programming language such as Java, coupled with a deep understanding of frameworks like Spring, the JDK/JVM, and microservices patterns. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of API development (REST, SOAP, GraphQL), database design (SQL/NoSQL), and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ). Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) is essential. Practical experience in QA/test automation, including frameworks like JUnit, Selenium, WebDriver, Cucumber, and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, is crucial. Exhibit a solid grasp of design patterns (SOLID, DDD, hexagonal), distributed architectures, and performance tuning techniques. Possess excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across diverse teams and functions. Show strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, maintaining a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk management. Previous experience working within Agile development methodologies and utilizing tools like JIRA is expected.
