Join Optum, a global leader in health optimization, and drive impactful change in healthcare. We are seeking a Senior Manager, Technical Product Management to lead AI-powered consumer experiences. This role is pivotal in shaping product strategy, guiding technical execution, and fostering a team of talented Technical Product Managers. You'll operate at the dynamic intersection of product, technology, data, AI, and business strategy, owning outcomes from conception to widespread adoption.

Our work directly enhances health outcomes by connecting individuals with essential care, pharmacy benefits, data, and resources. As part of a culture championing inclusion and offering extensive development opportunities, you will contribute to advancing health optimization on a global scale. We invite you to be part of our mission: Caring. Connecting. Growing together.

Responsibilities

This leadership role is crucial for defining product strategy and portfolio direction, collaborating with Directors, business leaders, and technology partners to establish roadmaps and priorities for Claims Assistant, Payments, and AI-driven member experiences. You will identify key opportunities to enhance capabilities, improve member outcomes, and deliver tangible business value.

Scale Claims and Payment Experiences by leading discovery and execution efforts to broaden Claims Assistant and payment capabilities into new member workflows, encompassing claims submission, reimbursement, digital payments, document intake, intelligent routing, and self-service options across web and mobile platforms. Own product requirements, technical designs, API integrations, platform enhancements, AI capabilities, OCR workflows, and data dependencies to ensure scalable and compliant consumer experiences. Establish clear KPIs, success metrics, operational controls, and monitoring strategies to evaluate adoption, member satisfaction, completion rates, accuracy, automation effectiveness, payment success, and overall business impact, driving continuous optimization.

Build and Develop TPM Talent by leading, coaching, and mentoring Technical Product Managers responsible for product delivery across the portfolio. Set performance expectations, cultivate technical product management proficiencies, guide career development, and champion the adoption of AI-enabled product management practices throughout the organization. Ensure strict adherence to all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, including those related to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Product Management or Technical Product Management, including over 3 years leading enterprise-scale digital products for external customers. Proven experience in owning product vision, strategy, roadmaps, objectives, KPIs, and business outcomes is essential.

Demonstrated success in delivering products through Agile development methodologies in partnership with software engineering teams, and experience leading large, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple teams and stakeholders are required. Candidates must also possess experience working within highly regulated environments that necessitate robust security, compliance, and risk management practices. A strong ability to translate business needs into detailed product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and executable delivery plans is crucial for success in this role.
