Lead the strategic planning, governance, and successful execution of data center construction and development projects across India. This senior role is responsible for overseeing program delivery, cost management, risk mitigation, quality assurance, safety protocols, contractor performance, and ensuring readiness for commissioning and handover for new builds, expansions, and retrofits.

Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure construction aligns with design specifications, network infrastructure, operational requirements, and business objectives. This position also involves direct management and professional development of project and construction teams, establishing standardized delivery practices, and proactively resolving issues that could impact project timelines or operational readiness.

Oversee end-to-end construction project delivery, including new builds, expansions, retrofits, and customer-specific projects. Manage integrated delivery plans, milestones, readiness gates, and recovery actions to meet key business commitments. Provide accurate, data-driven project reporting and escalate significant risks, decisions, and constraints to regional leadership. Implement robust project controls for schedule, cost, risk, dependencies, change management, QA/QC, commissioning readiness, and handover. Maintain precise forecasts, critical-path plans, risk registers, issue logs, and action trackers, intervening to mitigate constraints and protect milestones. Partner with PMO, Contracts, QS, and Procurement on commercial discipline, change management, claims, and contractor performance. Coordinate with Design, Network, Commissioning, Operations, Real Estate, and external delivery partners to ensure alignment. Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for contractors, consultants, colocation partners, customers, and internal stakeholders during the delivery phase. Foster productive relationships across diverse technical and non-technical groups, resolving issues efficiently. Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all relevant site, company, and regulatory safety requirements. Drive quality assurance, inspections, defect management, system completion, commissioning readiness, and handover processes. Ensure construction handover packages are complete, organized, and suitable for transition to commissioning and operations. Directly manage, coach, and develop Construction Managers, Project Managers, and project controls personnel. Plan team capacity and resource allocation to align with the delivery pipeline and evolving business needs. Embed consistent delivery practices, templates, reporting structures, and lessons learned throughout the team.

Minimum 8-10 years of experience in construction, project delivery, or program delivery, preferably within mission-critical environments like data centers, critical infrastructure, industrial facilities, pharmaceuticals, aviation, or utilities. Proven experience in managing teams, including setting objectives, coaching performance, developing talent, and allocating resources. Demonstrated success in delivering multiple construction projects or workstreams from design coordination through to construction, commissioning, and operational handover. Solid understanding of project controls, scheduling, cost management, construction risk assessment, change control processes, and contractor management. Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional setting and willingness to travel domestically as required by business needs. Preferred qualifications include experience with data center or critical facility construction programs, knowledge of commissioning frameworks and readiness gating, and experience with colocation or partner-delivery models. A relevant degree or professional qualification in construction management, engineering, project management, or quantity surveying is advantageous.
