This Senior Manager role within our National Assurance team, specifically in the FAAS - Financial & Accounting Advisory Services division based in Bangalore, offers a well-rounded experience across various industries. ASU's Assurance purpose is to inspire confidence and trust by protecting the public interest, promoting transparency, and nurturing future business leaders.

Manage and execute FAAS projects, developing and implementing innovative solutions. Identify and cultivate business opportunities, managing client accounts effectively. Mentor junior team members, fostering technical excellence and a continuous learning environment. Collaborate with other EY service lines on multi-disciplinary projects and contribute to thought leadership and marketing initiatives. Regular travel is anticipated for client engagement with key industry leaders.

Candidates must be a qualified CA (or equivalent, such as CPA/ICAEW/ACCA) with a strong academic record (first/second attempt passes for ICAI or equivalent). A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant post-qualification experience is required, demonstrating robust IGAAP, IFRS, and/or US GAAP financial reporting expertise in complex, large companies, likely within audit, advisory, transaction verticals, or MNC finance/M&A environments.

Essential skills include the ability to simplify complex accounting and financial reporting issues, an advisory mindset for client solution development with support from subject matter experts, and strong project management capabilities. Depending on the level, business development aptitude is key, with a strong track record expected for Senior Manager and above. Specific financial reporting experience in areas like transactions, IPO preparation, complex consolidation structures, tax planning, technical training delivery, or specialized financial reporting topics (e.g., revenue recognition, financial instruments, consolidation, banking, insurance) is highly valued. Excellent communication skills are a must.
