This position sits within the Local Product Engineering (LPE) group, essential for bridging hardware development, NPI phases, and high-volume manufacturing. A strong understanding of hardware, firmware/software, mechanical integration, and manufacturing is vital. The role involves supervising product engineering activities at contract manufacturing sites, collaborating closely with various internal NVIDIA organizations, including R&D (Hardware/Software/Firmware), Architecture, Test Engineering, Quality & Reliability, and Operations. You will also engage in direct communication with both internal and external NVIDIA groups, gaining in-depth knowledge of NVIDIA networking systems and a comprehensive system-level perspective of our solutions in a dynamic and positive work environment.
Lead cross-organizational task forces to address quality events and failure modes, coordinating efforts across hardware, software, and manufacturing departments.
Conduct in-depth root cause analysis by meticulously examining failure modes and monitor/control test yield across all stations.
Provide onsite tier 1 engineering support for test validation, test infrastructures, test setups, and station troubleshooting.
Facilitate the introduction and training of new tests to the Contract Manufacturer (CM) engineering team.
This role is based at the factory in Jabil (CMs), Pune, India.
A Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience is required.
Possess over 5 years of technical experience in hardware design, system engineering, failure analysis, debugging, architecture, or product engineering.
Demonstrate familiarity with the manufacturing processes for electronic products.
Be proficient with laboratory equipment, lab setups, and possess strong troubleshooting skills.
Exhibit a highly motivated team spirit, continuously staying updated with new technologies and failure analysis methodologies.
Proficiency in English is essential.
Preferred qualifications include experience as a test engineer or product engineer, familiarity with board design/systems, knowledge of ICT/JTAG, reliability testing (Burn-In, HASS), ATE functional tests, Linux operating systems, and programming languages like Perl or Python.
