We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Operation Engineering Consultant with extensive experience in IBM i and VIOS environments. This position is integral to designing, implementing, and managing critical enterprise workloads on IBM Power Systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure.

Your contributions will directly impact the performance and resilience of our systems, supporting major initiatives like hardware refreshes, data center migrations, and disaster recovery readiness. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex technical challenges within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Design, provision, configure, and manage IBM Power logical partitions (LPARs) and Virtual I/O Server (VIOS) environments.

Build new IBM i and VIOS partitions, configure virtualized storage and networking, and support hardware migrations.

Ensure partition environments are compliant, performant, and operationally resilient.

Participate in major infrastructure initiatives, including Power hardware refreshes, data center migrations, and disaster recovery planning.

Collaborate with architecture, storage, networking, security, and application teams to deliver robust infrastructure solutions.

Monitor technological advancements and industry trends to influence company standards and drive continuous improvement.

Analyze existing systems to enhance performance, reliability, scalability, and security.

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience is required.

Minimum of 8 years of hands-on IBM Power Systems administration experience.

Proven experience in building and configuring IBM i LPARs and administering VIOS environments.

Solid understanding of high-availability and disaster recovery principles.

Proficiency with PowerVM virtualization technologies.

Knowledge of SAN storage concepts and enterprise storage integration.

Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills are essential.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are a must.
