Join Capgemini as a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, focusing on managing and maintaining on-premise and dedicated client computing platforms. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of our physical data centers and server environments. You will be responsible for system engineering, maintenance, patching, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Furthermore, you will oversee critical backup and storage operations. This includes monitoring alerts, resolving first-level incidents, performing basic administration, and supporting teams with new builds and decommissioning activities. A key aspect involves contributing to capacity and performance reporting, driving efficiency and reliability.

Maintain and operate on-premise and client-dedicated computing platforms and servers, ensuring optimal system performance and availability.

Execute system engineering tasks, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrading of operating systems and infrastructure components.

Manage storage and data protection environments, focusing on monitoring, incident resolution, and basic administration according to defined procedures.

Collaborate with IT teams and third-party vendors to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.

Develop and implement strategies for patching, security, backup, and redundancy to enhance system resilience.

Contribute to capacity planning and performance reporting, identifying areas for optimization and improvement.

Drive continual service improvement actions within the storage and backup domains.

Proven experience in system engineering and managing physical data center infrastructure.

Solid understanding and hands-on experience with server operations, including installation, configuration, patching, and maintenance.

Proficiency in managing storage systems and backup/recovery solutions.

Experience with incident management, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues effectively.

Ability to develop and execute plans for patching, security, and system redundancy.

Familiarity with cloud infrastructure concepts and best practices is advantageous.

Strong collaboration skills to liaise with internal IT teams and external vendors.
