We are undergoing a significant transformation, moving from SQL Server as our primary data source to Redshift for analytics, with Snowflake being phased out and RedPanda under evaluation to replace Confluent. This role is instrumental in establishing robust data governance from the ground up, dictating how data is managed, utilized, and monetized across our payments platform.

Key responsibilities include charting a multi-year data strategy aligned with business expansion, regulatory mandates, and AI/ML aspirations. You will spearhead the transition towards a unified, Redshift-centric analytical platform, making critical decisions on consolidating infrastructure and migrating systems. Establishing comprehensive data governance, data quality, and metadata management frameworks will be a core focus. Furthermore, you'll collaborate closely with leadership to integrate data-driven insights into our product roadmap, define ingestion standards, and drive a data monetization strategy that leverages our proprietary transaction data for commercial advantage. Representing data strategy in regulatory and compliance discussions is also a key aspect of this role.

We are seeking a seasoned professional with 14-20 years of experience, bringing a strong background in Data Architecture and Technical Leadership. Excellent Communication skills are essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. A deep understanding of data governance, data quality, and metadata management principles is crucial. Familiarity with various data platforms such as SQL Server, Redshift, Snowflake, Confluent, and RedPanda, along with experience in data monetization strategies and compliance standards like PCI DSS and FCA, will be highly valued.
