BCG X is seeking a forward-deployed AI Engineer to join our expanding engineering team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of next-generation AI solutions, partnering with clients across various BCG regions and industries. You will tackle significant challenges, including climate change, by designing, building, and deploying innovative solutions. The position also involves developing thought leadership within scientific communities and presenting at conferences on behalf of BCG X.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will apply software development best practices to create robust and maintainable software solutions. You will be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle, guiding non-technical teams and consultants on software development best practices.

You will thrive in a dynamic, service-oriented setting, interacting directly with clients to enhance future product releases. Candidates should possess a degree in Computer Science or a related field, coupled with at least two years of relevant professional experience or significant personal project work leveraging advanced AI toolchains. Experience in software development within global and remote agile teams is crucial.

Proficiency in programming languages like Python, C++, or Scala is required, alongside familiarity with managing relational, non-relational, and streaming data. A solid understanding of parallel computing is necessary.

Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), full-stack development (GraphQL, React, JavaScript, TypeScript), and DevOps practices (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Terraform) is highly valued. Familiarity with data technologies (SQL, Spark, Hadoop) and machine learning libraries such as Pandas and Scikit-learn is also expected. Fluency in English and either Mandarin or Cantonese is a mandatory requirement.
