We are seeking a proactive Senior Engineering Technician to bolster our Local AI Automation team. This role is pivotal in scaling and sustaining a robust automation lab essential for AI development and validation. If you're passionate about building and maintaining reliable Local AI systems and lab infrastructure, this is a prime opportunity to significantly influence our technological advancements.

As a member of our diverse and supportive environment, you'll be inspired to deliver your best work. We foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, providing the resources and opportunities to make a lasting global impact. Come be a part of a company that's defining the future of computing.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include system bring-up, overseeing lab operations, performing crucial maintenance, and resolving technical issues. You will collaborate across multiple functions to ensure our infrastructure is ready and operating at peak efficiency.

Key duties involve setting up, cabling, configuring, and maintaining Local AI systems and their supporting servers across Windows and Linux. You'll partner with infrastructure teams for lab space, power, and network needs, and assist with procurement by defining requirements and tracking inventory. Bringing Local AI PCs and desktop systems online, deploying operating systems, and installing necessary tools are also integral to this role. Monitoring lab health, restoring systems, conducting root cause analysis for downtime, and implementing corrective actions will be essential for maintaining operational excellence and lab safety standards.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with a B.Tech or a diploma/degree in computer science, IT, electronics, or a related field, coupled with at least 4 years of hands-on experience. Essential experience includes supporting lab operations, system bring-up, and managing GPU-based Local AI PCs and desktop systems, including backend and data server setup.

Proficiency in installing, upgrading, and troubleshooting Local AI PCs and desktop systems, along with application and database servers (including GPUs, memory, storage, and firmware), is required. Experience with operating system imaging, configuration, and validation for Local AI systems and servers is crucial. A solid understanding of desktop and server environments (Windows OS, Linux distributions) and foundational networking concepts is expected. Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work independently and coordinate effectively with collaborators are vital for success in this role.
