Join our International Mobility team as a Sr. Software Engineer, contributing to innovative fleet management and mobility payment solutions for our global clients. This dynamic role supports our SaaS and API offerings across EU and APAC regions, empowering businesses with flexible spending controls for their fleet members.

Our diverse engineering team, spanning India, the UK, and the USA, is dedicated to building scalable and reliable systems. We focus on enabling credit issuance through WEX and cobranded cards, allowing precise control over where, when, and how fleet cards are used by fueling stations and other merchants.

As a key member of the team, you will design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using object-oriented principles. You will craft public REST APIs and internal gRPC APIs, leading design decisions and ensuring alignment across engineering.

Key responsibilities include writing comprehensive automated tests, identifying and resolving system bottlenecks, and implementing automation for testing, monitoring, and deployment to accelerate time to market.

Collaborate with product managers and fellow engineers to bring new features to life. Conduct thorough code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and champion best practices. Troubleshoot complex issues, author root cause analyses, and maintain robust documentation for design, operations, and readiness.

You will also provide critical live-site support, ensuring application reliability and driving continuous improvement. Lead cross-team projects as a single-threaded owner or technical lead, actively enabling your colleagues.

We are looking for a seasoned engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering and at least 5 years of professional software engineering experience. A strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, and problem-solving is essential.

Demonstrated expertise in designing and developing internet-scale services with a focus on scalability, availability, security, and reliability is crucial. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset are highly valued.

Proficiency in backend development, particularly in Java or C#, and experience with frameworks like SpringBoot, building and optimizing RESTful APIs, ODATA framework, and SQL are required. Familiarity with existing codebases and adapting to legacy systems is also beneficial.
