Join Altimetrik as a Senior Network Engineer within our 24x7 Network Operations Centre. You'll be instrumental in supporting a high-availability payments platform hosted on AWS in a regulated environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to deepen your expertise in cloud networking under the mentorship of senior team members, contributing to a rota that ensures comprehensive UK and APAC coverage.

You will be responsible for investigating and resolving daily network issues, actively participating in incident response calls, and assisting with network modifications. This position encourages the development of greater ownership in cloud networking aspects, working within a rotating schedule to bridge UK and APAC operational needs.

A strong understanding of AWS networking fundamentals, including VPC, Subnets, and Routing, is essential. Familiarity with firewall technologies like Palo Alto Networks is required. Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation is advantageous, as are basic scripting skills in Python or a similar language. A foundational grasp of network security concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, and IAM, is also necessary. We are seeking candidates with 2-5 years of experience in network engineering or a related infrastructure role. AWS certifications are desirable.
