Join our team as a Senior Engineer specializing in Data Engineering, focusing on SAP BW ABAP consultancy. You will play a pivotal role in a significant migration program, transitioning from Qlik to SAC & Power BI. This involves the backend system of BW on HANA / BW/4HANA, where you'll be responsible for redesigning and implementing transformation logic currently managed within Qlik. Your expertise will ensure optimized data models, efficient transformations, and high-performance data flows to seamlessly support Power BI reporting.

Key responsibilities include BW data modeling and development using InfoProviders, BW transformations, and DTPs. You will develop and implement complex transformation logic using ABAP routines and migrate existing Qlik transformation logic into BW.

Further duties involve ABAP development within BW, including AMDP-based transformations and performance-optimized ABAP code for HANA environments. You'll also handle custom program development, data validation, and reconciliation between source systems (ECC/S4) and BW.

Responsibilities extend to HANA optimization by enhancing data models for peak performance and ensuring push-down logic with HANA-optimized techniques. You will analyze performance using various tools and troubleshoot issues.

The role also encompasses migration and integration tasks, such as analyzing and converting Qlik transformation logic, collaborating with the Power BI team on data structures, supporting data extraction, and enabling governed datasets for reporting.

You will conduct unit and integration testing, data reconciliation across BW, Qlik, and Power BI, and ensure data accuracy and performance benchmarks are met. Support for UAT and production deployment is also expected.

Finally, documentation and governance are crucial. This includes preparing technical design documents, maintaining transformation logic documentation, adhering to development standards, and supporting transport management and production releases.

We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 years of SAP BW experience, demonstrating strong hands-on expertise in BW on HANA or BW/4HANA.

Essential skills include robust ABAP development capabilities within BW transformations. Proficiency with ADSO, Composite Providers, Transformations, and DTPs is required. Experience with AMDP is preferred, especially for BW/4HANA environments.

Proven experience in migrating reporting logic from tools like Qlik to BW is a must. A strong understanding of data reconciliation and validation techniques, along with performance tuning in a HANA environment, is also critical.

Familiarity with SAP ECC or S/4HANA data structures is necessary. Experience in Power BI migration projects, knowledge of Qlik data modeling, and understanding of authorization concepts in BW are considered advantageous.
