Seeking a seasoned SAP BW ABAP Consultant to drive a critical Qlik to SAC & Power BI migration. This role focuses on redesigning and implementing robust BW transformation logic, ensuring optimized data models and high-performance data flows essential for Power BI reporting. The backend environment includes BW on HANA and BW/4HANA.

This position offers the opportunity to architect efficient data solutions and contribute directly to the success of a major data migration initiative. You will play a key role in bridging the gap between existing Qlik logic and new Power BI reporting needs.

Key responsibilities include designing and enhancing BW data models (ADSO, Composite Providers, Open ODS Views), developing and modifying BW Transformations, DTPs, and Process Chains. You will implement complex ABAP routines, migrate Qlik transformation logic into BW, and develop performance-optimized ABAP code for HANA.

Responsibilities also encompass HANA optimization for data models and push-down logic, analyzing performance using relevant tools, and converting existing Qlik transformation logic. Collaboration with the Power BI team is crucial for aligning data structures, ensuring clean datasets, and supporting data extraction from ECC/S4. Unit, integration, and UAT testing, alongside documentation and governance, are integral to this role.

A minimum of 5 years of SAP BW experience is required, with strong hands-on expertise in BW on HANA or BW/4HANA.

Essential skills include robust ABAP development within BW transformations, experience with ADSO, Composite Providers, Transformations, DTP, and AMDP (preferred for BW/4HANA). Proven experience in migrating reporting logic from Qlik or other BI tools to BW, along with a solid understanding of data reconciliation and validation, is vital. Candidates should also possess performance tuning experience in a HANA environment and knowledge of SAP ECC or S/4HANA data structures.
