Senior Design Engineer - Memory Subsystem
NVIDIA
NVIDIA
Join NVIDIA, a leader in AI computing, and contribute to the design of cutting-edge memory subsystem components for industry-leading GPUs and SOCs. This role offers a unique opportunity to impact diverse product lines, from consumer graphics to autonomous vehicles and the rapidly expanding field of artificial intelligence. As part of a team passionate about parallel and visual computing, you'll help transform how graphics solve complex computational challenges.
NVIDIA GPUs, initially known for rendering virtual worlds, now power AI and deep learning algorithms, serving as the core of intelligent systems. Be at the forefront of this technological revolution and shape the future of computing.
As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be instrumental in defining micro-architectures, implementing designs in RTL, and ensuring the delivery of fully verified, synthesis-ready components. You will collaborate closely with architects and fellow designers, working with pre- and post-silicon verification, synthesis, timing, and backend teams.
Key responsibilities include: - Owning micro-architecture and RTL development for design modules. - Designing features to meet stringent performance, power, and area targets. - Collaborating with hardware architects to define critical features. - Partnering with verification teams to ensure design correctness. - Liaising with timing, VLSI, and physical design groups for timing and interface requirements. - Working with FPGA and software teams for design prototyping and software testing. - Engaging in post-silicon verification and debugging.
We are looking for candidates with a BS/MS degree or equivalent experience and over 4 years of hands-on design experience. A strong background in micro-architecture and RTL development for complex designs is essential.
Proficiency in Verilog and familiarity with ASIC design flows, including RTL design, verification, logic synthesis, prototyping, timing analysis, floor-planning, ECO, and lab debug, are required. Experience with design and verification tools such as VCS, and debug tools like Debussy or GDB is also expected.
Standout candidates will possess design experience in memory subsystems or network interconnect IPs, strong debugging and problem-solving skills, and scripting knowledge in Python, Perl, or shell. Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit are vital for team success.
