We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator to join our Database Services Team. This role is crucial for driving our customer experience strategy forward through continuous innovation and problem-solving. You will be instrumental in the development and support of our project and production databases, ensuring exceptional Database Administration support across all systems to meet or exceed service level agreements (SLAs).

As a Senior Database Administrator, your key responsibilities will include performing in-depth database troubleshooting and performance monitoring to ensure rapid and effective incident resolution.
You will contribute to cross-team problem-solving efforts and deliver critical project work, such as database installations, upgrades, and system enhancements, within demanding timelines.
Thorough documentation of your work is essential, alongside knowledge sharing and mentoring of colleagues. You will also identify and document essential procedures, policies, methods, and practices, acting as a quality gate for new systems entering live service.
This role may require out-of-hours and weekend support, approximately one week in every eight.
We are looking for a highly motivated DBA with a strong problem-solving ability, a positive and flexible attitude, and excellent teamwork skills.
Essential technical expertise includes proficiency in Clustering and Disaster Recovery (DR), Backup and Recovery strategies, and Performance Tuning.
Significant experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Grid/database patching is required. Experience in Security, Audit, and Compliance as it relates to Databases is also vital.
Strong SQL skills to DBA standard and basic UNIX or Windows Shell Scripting are mandatory. While Oracle is our primary DBMS, experience with SQL Server and NoSQL DBMSs like REDIS would be a significant advantage.
Preferred qualifications include Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification and team-leading experience. A positive attitude, ownership of deliverables, flexibility in workload, and the ability to work independently are key attributes.
