Collaborate with partners, customers, and key stakeholders to conceptualize and articulate detailed Electrical and Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design plans and long-term strategies. Proactively initiate new programs based on identified needs and champion their adoption.
Effectively manage diverse work programs, engaging cross-functional teams and engineers to set the pace for the development, deployment, and delivery of data center services and infrastructure. Develop, prepare, and maintain electrical and MEP calculations, product selection criteria, project documentation, quality assurance documents, code compliance metrics, process maps, presentations, and tracking reports to provide clear and detailed project status updates.
Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of power substation design, implementation, and permitting processes. Apply sound technical judgment to guide decision-making, drive project delivery, conduct technology reviews, challenge proposals, and build consensus among stakeholders. Analyze service and system performance data to derive actionable recommendations and plans.
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a closely related technical field is required. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered. A minimum of 5 years of experience is necessary in mission-critical facility design and construction environments.
Demonstrated experience in electrical infrastructure is essential. Furthermore, you should possess experience in managing data center infrastructure and fit-out projects, alongside expertise in managing partners and stakeholders. Familiarity with vendor management and the utilization and customization of project management tools is also required.
Preferred qualifications include experience in estimating, electrical design, operation, and commissioning of substations, switchgear, Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), emergency power systems, and their associated control systems. Experience with power monitoring and electrical protection systems is advantageous. Knowledge of design, construction, and commissioning of high voltage substations, medium or low voltage electrical distribution systems, AC/DC systems, and related power management or Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) tools is beneficial.
Experience with data center equipment and environments, such as switchgear, generators, transformers, controls, security monitoring systems, and fire safety systems, is highly valued. A strong understanding of start-up and commissioning processes is expected. Experience with medium voltage systems is also considered a plus.
