Join the Azure Fleet Platform's Capacity Operations team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless delivery of cloud capacity across Microsoft's global infrastructure. This team is instrumental in connecting customer demand with supply, driving capacity planning, risk management, and optimization to support Azure and other Microsoft cloud services.

Key responsibilities include meticulously tracking overall support effectiveness by analyzing customer satisfaction and quality data. You will proactively address process, data, and system gaps that impact the customer experience.
Monitor critical operational metrics and spearhead improvements in operational processes. Provide clear visibility into process and system issues, collaborating with engineering and business teams to drive automation and efficiency. Highlight platform capacity reliability issues, working with platform teams to eliminate customer failures related to capacity.
Serve as a technical advisor and escalation point for complex issues beyond vendor capabilities. Collaborate with diverse business stakeholders, including the Azure engineering team, to shape new deployment and platform capabilities. Facilitate industry-standard Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for premium customer incidents.
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or a related field is required, coupled with 5-8 years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
We require the ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check, which must be passed upon hire and renewed every two years.
Preferred qualifications include a Master's Degree in a relevant field and 6+ years of experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of experience in the aforementioned areas. Additionally, 7+ years of technical and business experience in engineering, program management, capacity management, or cloud capacity management is highly desirable. Familiarity with the Azure Platform or operations within a cloud service architecture, along with a deep understanding of cloud services and usage scenarios, is beneficial. Experience working with or within cloud engineering teams is preferred.
