Join Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's Operator access division as a Senior Core Infrastructure Engineer. This role is pivotal in designing, building, testing, deploying, and operating highly scalable services. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable distributed system components, optimizing code for large-scale data processing, and ensuring system reliability through fault-tolerant mechanisms and recovery-oriented principles. You will also implement retry mechanisms, circuit breakers, and timeouts to handle network unreliability.

Proactive issue detection and resolution are crucial, involving the implementation of tests, alarms, dashboards, and telemetry. You'll author runbooks, participate in incident response and root cause analysis, and implement standard replication and synchronization techniques.

Further responsibilities encompass developing automation/IaC for troubleshooting and maintenance, applying advanced security controls like encryption and access management, and ensuring compliance with change, documentation, and industry standards.

We seek candidates with a BE or MS degree in Computer Science or a related field. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a software engineering role within an Agile/DevOps environment is required.

Essential technical skills include 3+ years of Java development or experience with any object-oriented language, along with 3+ years in building and operating distributed systems. A strong understanding of microservices, data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems is fundamental.

Proficiency in relational databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence is expected. Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning abilities are critical. Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary for presenting complex information clearly to various audiences. Knowledge of Linux/Unix fundamentals and Go-lang is highly desirable.
