This role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing critical components within distributed systems. The emphasis is on building solutions that are highly scalable, resilient, and easy to operate. You will be responsible for delivering new features, conducting load and performance tests, and utilizing data plane platforms and distributed state tools for efficient data handling. Peer code reviews will ensure adherence to scalability standards. A key aspect involves building robust fault-tolerant systems through redundancy, replication, and automatic failover mechanisms. You'll apply recovery-oriented principles and implement patterns like retries and circuit breakers. Proactive issue detection and mitigation through testing, alarms, dashboards, and telemetry are essential. This includes authoring runbooks and participating in incident response and root cause analysis.

Furthermore, you will implement standard replication and synchronization techniques, develop automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for troubleshooting and maintenance, and apply advanced security controls such as encryption and access management, while ensuring compliance with change management and documentation standards.
