As a Senior Software Developer, you will own and develop key services and technology areas, gaining a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end architecture, call flows, and system dependencies. You will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of critical systems, prioritizing security, resilience, scalability, and performance.

Key duties include defining and implementing service architecture improvements, articulating technical characteristics, and engineering advanced capabilities for Oracle's cloud portfolio. You will communicate the service's scale, capacity, security, and performance attributes. A strong grasp of automation and orchestration principles is essential, along with the ability to act as the primary escalation point for complex issues.

You will leverage your deep understanding of services and their interdependencies to troubleshoot and mitigate issues, and clearly explain the impact of product architecture decisions on distributed systems. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 4 years of experience in developing and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems is required.

Proven experience with mission-critical Java backend microservices design and development is essential. Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools such as Chef, Ansible, Jenkins, and Terraform, along with Python, is expected. You should also have experience in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
