Join our dynamic team as a Senior Core Infrastructure Engineer, focusing on the design, implementation, and optimization of highly scalable, resilient, and operable distributed systems. You will be instrumental in developing robust features, conducting performance tests, and leveraging advanced data plane platforms and distributed state tools for high-volume data handling. This role involves building fault-tolerant systems, applying recovery-oriented principles, and ensuring system stability through proactive issue detection and mitigation.
Your expertise will be crucial in implementing standard replication and synchronization, developing automation for troubleshooting, and applying advanced security controls. We value adherence to change management, compliance, and documentation standards, ensuring the highest quality of infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include architecting and implementing scalable distributed systems, optimizing code for large-scale data processing, and ensuring system reliability through fault-tolerant design and recovery-oriented principles. You will implement retry mechanisms, circuit breakers, and timeouts to enhance resilience.
Furthermore, you will proactively detect and address issues through comprehensive testing and alerting, build monitoring dashboards, and draft runbooks for operational support. This role also involves diagnosing and resolving system component issues, designing automation scripts for troubleshooting, and participating in incident response and root cause analysis.
Emphasis is placed on applying advanced security measures, including encryption and access controls, and ensuring cloud infrastructure meets industry standards and regulations. Maintaining automation scripts (IaC) and adhering to change management plans are also core duties.
This position requires a strong background in designing and optimizing distributed systems with a keen focus on scalability, resiliency, and operability. You should possess a proven ability to implement fault-tolerant paths, leverage recovery-oriented computing principles, and integrate mechanisms like retries and circuit breakers.
Experience in proactively identifying and mitigating issues through testing, alarms, dashboards, and telemetry is essential. The role demands the ability to author runbooks, participate in incident response, and conduct root cause analyses. Proficiency in implementing standard replication, synchronization, and developing automation/IaC for troubleshooting and maintenance is expected.
Successful candidates will apply advanced security controls, including encryption and access management, while upholding change management, compliance, and documentation standards. A collaborative spirit, problem-solving aptitude, and commitment to continuous learning are highly valued.
