As a key member of the Block Storage team, you will lead the software design and development of core components and features for the Block Storage Service. This role demands strong programming skills and a broad understanding of distributed systems, enabling you to contribute across the entire technology stack, from low-level systems to high-level service interactions. You'll champion simplicity and scalability, thriving in a collaborative, agile development environment while embracing continuous learning.

We are looking for experienced engineers with a proven track record in distributed systems, virtualised infrastructure, and highly available storage services. Essential qualifications include over 5 years of experience in delivering large-scale, highly available distributed systems and backend services. Proficiency in C/C++ or similar programming languages, along with scripting languages like Python, is crucial. A solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, multi-threading, and distributed systems fundamentals is required. Familiarity with networking protocols such as TCP/IP and HTTP is also necessary.
