Join our team as a Senior Core Infrastructure Engineer and take the lead in designing, implementing, and optimizing sophisticated distributed systems. You'll ensure these systems meet stringent demands for scalability, reliability, and operational excellence. This role involves full ownership of features from initial design through production deployment, utilizing advanced testing methodologies like performance, load, and fault-injection testing. You will also be responsible for reviewing peer implementations to guarantee correctness and resilience.

Leverage cutting-edge data plane platforms and distributed state technologies to manage high-volume data retrieval, storage, and processing. Design for resilience with robust redundancy, replication, synchronization, and automatic failover strategies. Proactively address network variability and dependency failures by configuring effective retry mechanisms, circuit breakers, and timeouts. Develop comprehensive telemetry, dashboards, and alerts, author runbooks, and actively participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and root cause analysis to enhance system reliability and prevent future issues.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable components for distributed systems, optimizing code for large-scale data processing, and ensuring scalability requirements are met. You'll also focus on building fault-tolerant components, applying recovery-oriented computing principles, and implementing retry mechanisms and circuit breakers.

Implement comprehensive testing and alarm configurations for proactive issue detection. Support failure recovery by drafting and executing runbooks. Develop and customize dashboards, telemetry, and alerting systems for component health monitoring. Design and implement functional requirements and testing for features, evaluating system correctness through fault-injection and brown-out scenarios. Implement standard data replication and synchronization techniques for data integrity.

Diagnose and resolve system component issues to maintain ongoing operations. Design and implement automation scripts and tooling for troubleshooting. Participate in operational support rotations, incident responses, and root cause investigations. Apply advanced security measures, including encryption and access controls, and implement remediation plans for continuous security improvement. Ensure cloud infrastructure compliance and maintain up-to-date documentation. Maintain automation scripts and tools, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and adhere to change management plans for application updates and rollbacks.

We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience in commercial or open-source software development. A strong command of C++ or Java, coupled with excellent problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of Computer Science fundamentals like data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems, is essential.

Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and building control plane systems for cloud-scale operations is required. Candidates should possess strong systems programming skills, including proficiency in multi-threading and concurrency, and a solid foundation in distributed systems concepts such as consistency, scaling, and failure recovery. Proven experience with implementation testing, debugging, and documentation within a Linux development environment is also necessary.
