The Virtual Networking team specifically needs individuals to design and build microservices and infrastructure essential for OCI Virtual Networking, ensuring secure, scalable, and dependable services for users worldwide.

Design and develop core components for OCI Virtual Networking, emphasizing scalability, performance, and reliability. Build and optimize distributed networking and gateway systems for high availability and low-latency cloud-scale access. Analyze and enhance system performance, scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex production issues across distributed systems. Drive operational excellence through automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement. Participate in design reviews, mentor team members, and uphold engineering best practices.

This role requires a seasoned software engineer with strong Java development skills and expertise in REST-based services, coupled with a deep understanding of distributed systems. You should champion simplicity, scalability, and operational excellence, thriving in a collaborative engineering setting.

Essential qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 4 years of professional software development experience, including building distributed systems. Proficiency in Java, object-oriented design principles, RESTful services, microservices, and fundamental concepts of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems is crucial. Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and performance-tuning abilities, along with experience in build systems and CI/CD pipelines, are expected.
