As a Senior Core Infrastructure Engineer, you will focus on the Virtual Networking team, architecting and developing the microservices and infrastructure that drive Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Virtual Networking services. Your contributions will be crucial in delivering secure, scalable, and dependable networking solutions for our global customer base.

Key duties include: - Designing and developing core OCI Virtual Networking components with an emphasis on scalability, performance, and reliability. - Building and optimizing distributed networking and gateway systems for high availability and low-latency cloud-scale access. - Analyzing and enhancing system performance, scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features. - Troubleshooting and resolving complex production issues across distributed systems. - Driving operational excellence through automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement. - Participating in design reviews, mentoring team members, and championing engineering best practices.

We are seeking an experienced software engineer with strong Java development capabilities, expertise in REST-based services, and a deep understanding of distributed systems. A commitment to simplicity, scalability, and operational excellence, coupled with a collaborative spirit, is essential.

Key Qualifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. - A minimum of 4 years of professional software development experience, including significant work with distributed systems. - High proficiency in Java and object-oriented design principles. - Proven experience designing and developing REST-based services and microservices. - Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and fundamental distributed systems concepts. - Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and performance-tuning skills. - Familiarity with build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices.
