Advance your career as a Senior Core Infrastructure Engineer, focusing on the design, implementation, and optimization of highly scalable, resilient, and operable distributed systems. You will develop cutting-edge features, conduct rigorous load and performance testing, and leverage advanced data plane platforms and distributed state tools for high-volume data processing. This role involves building robust fault-tolerant systems, applying recovery-oriented principles, and ensuring system stability through proactive issue detection and mitigation.

Your responsibilities will extend to authoring essential runbooks, actively participating in incident response, and conducting thorough root cause analyses. You will also implement standard replication and synchronization techniques, develop automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for streamlined troubleshooting and maintenance, and apply sophisticated security controls. Adherence to change, compliance, and documentation standards will be paramount.

Key responsibilities include contributing to the development and optimization of scalable distributed system components, utilizing distributed state management tools for large-scale data processing. You will implement and review scalability requirements, leveraging data plane platforms for efficient data handling, and conduct comprehensive performance and load testing.

Design and implement fault-tolerant systems through redundancy, replication, and automatic failover mechanisms, incorporating recovery-oriented computing principles. Minimize service disruptions by implementing retry mechanisms, circuit breakers, and timeouts. Proactively identify and resolve issues by developing tests, alarm configurations, and dashboards.

Develop and execute runbooks for system recovery, build custom monitoring dashboards and telemetry systems, and ensure system correctness and availability through functional requirements and testing. Implement standard data replication and synchronization techniques to maintain data integrity.

Diagnose and debug system components to ensure ongoing operation, implementing strategies to prevent interruptions. Design and implement automation scripts for troubleshooting and participate in operational support, incident responses, and root cause investigations.

Apply advanced security measures, including encryption and access controls, and implement remediation plans for continuous security improvement. Ensure cloud infrastructure compliance with industry standards and maintain up-to-date documentation.

Maintain automation scripts and tools, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and adhere to change management plans for application updates and rollbacks.

Ideal candidates possess 5+ years of industry experience in commercial or open-source software development. A strong command of C++, Java, or similar modern programming languages is essential, coupled with excellent problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of Computer Science fundamentals like data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.

Proven experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) and building cloud-scale control plane systems is required. You should have strong systems programming skills, including expertise in multi-threading and concurrency, and a solid foundation in distributed systems concepts such as consistency, scaling, and failure recovery.

Experience with implementation testing, debugging, and documentation within a Linux development environment is crucial. A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is required, with a Master's degree being preferred.
