Key responsibilities include designing and developing scalable and reliable distributed systems, optimizing code for large-scale data processing, and implementing fault-tolerant components with redundancy and automatic failover. You will be responsible for performance and load testing, implementing recovery mechanisms for service disruptions, and building telemetry systems and alerting for component health monitoring.

Additional duties involve designing and implementing functional requirements, creating test scenarios to evaluate system correctness, and maintaining data integrity through replication and synchronization. You will also diagnose and resolve system issues, design automation scripts for troubleshooting, participate in operational support, and apply advanced security measures for data protection.

Furthermore, this role requires maintaining automation scripts for cloud infrastructure management, adhering to change management plans, and collaborating across teams to align expectations and achieve shared objectives. Continuous learning, problem-solving, and contributing to process improvements are also essential aspects of this position.

We require candidates with a minimum of 4 years of software development experience, including at least 3 years in developing large-scale distributed services. Proficiency in Java, Python, or C++, along with strong object-oriented programming skills, is essential. A solid understanding of data structures and algorithms is crucial.

Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills are necessary. A Master's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field is required. Knowledge of cloud computing and networking technologies, including monitoring services, is highly desired.

Desired qualifications include experience with networking management technologies like SNMP and Netflow, developing service-oriented systems, and exposure to distributed compute platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or Elastic Search. Experience with automated test suite development, Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, and Agile methodologies is also beneficial.
