Seeking a seasoned Lead Engineer for Backend, specializing in NodeJS and Platform Development. This role involves contributing to the full lifecycle of our platform, developing Proofs of Concept (POCs) to proactively mitigate risks. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, adept at managing multiple projects within a collaborative team environment.

Key responsibilities include guiding and mentoring junior developers, ensuring code quality through peer reviews, and actively participating in PI planning to identify and address technical challenges. You will also be responsible for monitoring Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) and ensuring compliance with carrier standards. This role demands a proactive approach to implementing alerts, monitoring for smooth operations, and driving cloud cost optimization.

Key tasks: - Mentor and direct junior developers. - Conduct peer code reviews. - Participate in PI planning and identify technical challenges. - Monitor NFRs and ensure compliance. - Implement alerts and monitoring systems. - Optimize cloud costs and secure AWS services.

A minimum of 6-10 years in software development is required, with at least 4 years dedicated to cloud-native applications on AWS. Proficiency in Typescript and NodeJS is essential. Experience with CI/CD processes and developing various API types (REST, GraphQL, Websockets) is crucial. A deep understanding of AWS cloud-native services such as IoT Core, Kinesis, DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, Timestream, SQS, SNS, and Cloudwatch is expected. Experience in creating AWS infrastructure using serverless frameworks or CDK, along with solid knowledge of Jest for unit and integration testing, is also a must. Experience in cloud cost optimization and securing AWS services is highly valued.
