Join our Technology & Transformation practice as a Senior Consultant, specializing in Java API Testing. This role is pivotal in driving enterprise-wide automation initiatives across UI, API, database, and microservices layers. You will lead the development of automation frameworks, champion CI/CD adoption, and implement advanced quality engineering practices.

As part of a global network, you'll help companies transform vast data into actionable insights, supporting fact-driven decision-making and fostering an insight-driven advantage. We focus on business intelligence, data management, performance management, and cutting-edge analytics technologies like big data, cloud, cognitive, and machine learning.

Spearhead the design and implementation of scalable automation frameworks using Java, Selenium, and Playwright, defining reusable testing architectures and coding standards. Lead automation efforts across multiple projects, evaluating and recommending automation tools. Establish comprehensive testing coverage across UI, APIs, databases, and microservices, implementing shift-left testing methodologies to ensure high automation coverage and maintainability.

Develop robust automation frameworks for REST and service-layer testing, validating service integrations and event-driven architectures. Work extensively with API contracts, schemas, and microservices validation. Build automated quality gates within CI/CD pipelines, integrating frameworks with tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions to support continuous integration and delivery strategies.

Mentor test engineers, conduct automation code reviews, and define automation best practices and governance. Participate in effort estimation, risk assessment, and project planning, driving quality improvements through metrics and analytics.

We seek a seasoned professional with 6-9 years of experience, possessing advanced Java and Python programming expertise. Strong hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, and API Automation tools like Rest Assured, Karate, and Postman is essential. Proven ability in designing automation frameworks from scratch and implementing CI/CD using Jenkins is required.

Familiarity with Git, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, SQL, NoSQL database testing, microservices architecture testing, and Docker environments is crucial. Preferred skills include Kubernetes exposure, experience with AWS/Azure cloud platforms, performance testing using JMeter, monitoring tools like Splunk, Grafana, and ELK, and an awareness of security testing concepts (OWASP).

Leadership expectations include leading automation initiatives, reviewing strategy and framework design, mentoring team members, and engaging with stakeholders to provide quality engineering recommendations. A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
