This role offers a dynamic environment where you will contribute to protecting and restoring enterprise and financial reputations for clients. You'll work with organizations and legal counsel to investigate facts, resolve disputes, and navigate regulatory challenges, embedding integrity into compliance programs to mitigate ethical and reputational risks.

This position is part of a sector-agnostic national team, providing broad industry exposure. The Forensics & Integrity Services practice focuses on safeguarding reputations through an integrated approach, enhancing governance, controls, and data insights, and implementing structural solutions.

EY is dedicated to fostering a culture of growth, offering training, opportunities, and creative freedom. We invest in our people's development, ensuring they have motivating and fulfilling experiences to reach their full professional potential. Your career is yours to build, with limitless possibilities and comprehensive support.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the design and implementation of enterprise-wide privacy programs, ensuring alignment with global privacy laws and best practices. Your responsibilities include assisting in the development of privacy policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), guidelines, and operating models. You will also conduct privacy maturity and gap assessments against regulatory and organizational requirements, and collaborate with stakeholders to operationalize privacy controls across various business units.

Key tasks involve conducting and maintaining data mapping, Transfer Impact Assessments (TIAs), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Records of Processing Activities (RoPAs), privacy notices, and retention schedules. You will support data subject requests (DSR), consent management, and breach management processes. Additionally, you will work with business and technology teams to embed privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default principles, conduct privacy reviews of vendors and third-party service providers, and assist with other global regulatory compliance engagements. Managing assigned workstreams, timelines, and stakeholder communications, along with supporting business development and knowledge-building initiatives, are also crucial aspects of this role.

Qualifications

We are seeking professionals with 3-5 years of proven experience in data privacy. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of global privacy regulations and practical implementation experience, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business, legal, technology, and risk teams. Candidates should be comfortable supporting client-facing engagements, producing high-quality deliverables, and translating privacy requirements into actionable business processes and controls.

Preferred qualifications include an LL.B or LL.M from a recognized university, with recognized privacy certifications (e.g., IAPP, ISO) being an advantage. Familiarity with privacy technology tools such as OneTrust, TrustArc, or Securiti is preferred. A good understanding of information security concepts and their intersection with privacy is essential, alongside strong documentation, report writing, and presentation skills. The ability to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced consulting environment, coupled with strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities, is vital. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively are required. Candidates must demonstrate attention to detail, the ability to produce high-quality work, and handle sensitive information responsibly. Willingness to travel to Gurgaon for client needs and work in flexible shifts to support international clients across time zones is also expected.
