The Discovery team within EY Forensic & Integrity Services focuses on helping organizations safeguard and restore their financial and brand reputations. We assist companies and their legal counsel in investigating facts, resolving disputes, and managing regulatory challenges. Our integrated approach enhances governance, controls, culture, and data insights to mitigate ethical and reputational risks.

Leverage 3-4 years of hands-on experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), ITAM, software licensing, or license compliance. Possess a strong working knowledge of Tier-1 publisher licensing (IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Red Hat, VMware/Broadcom), with in-depth understanding of IBM licensing metrics and compliance. Conduct license reconciliation, entitlement vs. deployment analysis, and prepare Effective License Positions (ELP). Assess compliance and identify optimization opportunities. Utilize SAM/ITAM tools like Flexera, ServiceNow SAM Pro, or Snow. Understand virtualization and cloud licensing concepts across major platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). Independently interpret license agreements and assess compliance impacts. Stay current with publisher licensing changes. Analyze large software datasets using advanced Excel skills. Apply Generative AI and prompt engineering for research and analysis. Automate SAM activities using Python. Develop SAM dashboards and reports with Power BI and Power Apps. Identify compliance risks, licensing gaps, and articulate findings. Demonstrate strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and client-facing skills.

A Bachelor of Engineering degree and a Master of Computer Applications are required. Candidates should possess 3-4 years of specialized experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), ITAM, software licensing, or license compliance. Essential skills include strong analytical abilities, advanced proficiency in Excel, and practical experience with SAM/ITAM tools. Familiarity with virtualization and cloud licensing environments is crucial. The role demands individuals who can work collaboratively, solve complex problems pragmatically, and deliver insightful solutions.
