Lead testing and quality assurance for ETL pipelines, data platforms, and cloud-based data engineering solutions. Drive the test strategy, automation efforts, and data validation processes across various data transformation initiatives. Engage effectively with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key responsibilities include designing and developing Python automation frameworks, conducting end-to-end ETL testing, and writing/optimizing complex SQL queries. You will also execute Unix/Linux commands, work with Mainframe systems for data validation, and test data warehouse components. Integrating automated validation into CI/CD pipelines and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues are also core functions.

We are seeking a seasoned Lead testing and quality assurance engineer with over 6 years of experience in ETL pipelines and data platforms. Essential skills include strong proficiency in Python (especially pandas, pyodbc) and expertise in SQL, including complex joins and analytical functions. A solid understanding of Oracle databases, relational data modeling, and Unix/Linux commands is required.

Familiarity with Mainframe systems for dataset handling and a good grasp of Data Warehousing concepts such as staging, fact/dimension modeling, and SCDs are crucial. Experience with test management tools like JIRA and CI/CD tools such as Git and Jenkins is also expected. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is necessary for this role.
