Join our dynamic Deal Transformation and Post-Merger Integration & Separation team in Delhi CEC as a Senior Consultant. You will play a pivotal role in assisting financial services clients, preferably in banking, with organization readiness and integration or carve-outs during M&A scenarios. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex transactions and contribute to Deloitte's global network of consulting practitioners.
Our Mergers & Acquisitions team specializes in strategizing, designing, and implementing end-to-end solutions for successful transactions. We support clients across critical M&A functions including project management, commercial activity optimization, operations, IT systems, human capital management, and finance. This role is integral to developing people within our Strategy, Risk, and Transactions practice.
As a Senior Consultant, you will directly contribute to engagement teams by supporting financial services clients through post-deal integration and separation activities. This includes understanding and defining integration strategies, developing target operating models, and evaluating organization readiness for Day 1/100 milestones. You will also manage separation strategies, assess financial and operational entanglements, and develop cost models for separation.
Your responsibilities will extend to evaluating the commercial and operational feasibility of deals, identifying red flags, and assessing post-deal consolidation opportunities. You will leverage industry best practices and Deloitte accelerators to define consolidation and separation approaches, supporting detailed functional integration planning for various M&A stages. Furthermore, you will identify and deliver synergy and dis-synergy opportunities, defining roadmaps and advising on benefit tracking.
We are seeking candidates with proven experience in large transformations, including pre-deal or post-deal M&A transactions within the FS/banking sector. A solid understanding of the banking value chain from a business perspective, coupled with experience working within or advising banking functions, is essential. Candidates should demonstrate strong academic credentials for both undergraduate and graduate coursework, with an MBA being preferred.
Key skills include advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal, are crucial. We also value leadership qualities, the ability to mentor junior team members, and a proactive willingness to learn independently. Experience with the technology landscape of FS/banking organizations will be a significant advantage. This role requires a willingness to travel.
