Key responsibilities include developing a Data Sharing Policy template aligned with national frameworks, assisting ministries and states in customizing and issuing their domain-level policies, and designing consent mechanisms for data protection.

You will also develop dataset classification criteria, draft provisions for data de-identification and re-identification prohibition, and spearhead the implementation of Law as Code.

Additionally, you will institutionalize Government-Researcher MoU frameworks, advise on compliance with relevant acts and sectoral laws, and maintain the published repository of Data Sharing Policies.

A Bachelor's degree is required, along with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in legal, regulatory, or policy roles within government, technology law, or public sector consulting.

Essential experience includes drafting government policies or legislative instruments and a strong understanding of data protection law, privacy by design, and consent frameworks. Familiarity with the DPDP Act 2023 is crucial, with GDPR exposure being advantageous.

Experience in e-governance or digital rights issues in India, as well as exposure to law-as-code initiatives, is desirable.
