This Senior Consultant role focuses on IT PMO within Emerging ERP Solutions, specifically for D365 F&O in Ahmedabad. The position is critical for ensuring robust project governance, effective delivery oversight, and comprehensive portfolio management across various IT initiatives.
This role requires a proactive IT PMO professional with 6-9 years of experience to drive project success by adhering to established standards, enhancing reporting visibility, and managing crucial risks and dependencies. The ultimate goal is to ensure that all projects are delivered successfully, meeting scope, time, cost, and quality objectives.
We are seeking an individual adept at navigating complex project landscapes and contributing to the continuous improvement of PMO practices. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Establish and enforce project management standards, processes, and best practices across all IT projects and programs.
Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, and milestones, while meticulously tracking progress, dependencies, risks, and issues. Prepare and publish regular status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries, providing key insights on variances and delivery risks.
Manage project budgets, forecasts, and actuals, highlighting potential cost risks and overruns. Support resource planning, utilization tracking, and capacity management, including vendor and partner coordination from a PMO standpoint.
Identify, assess, and track project risks and issues, ensuring timely mitigation and supporting change control processes. Proactively escalate critical risks and dependencies to senior stakeholders.
Act as a central coordination point between project managers, delivery teams, and leadership, facilitating review meetings and governance forums to ensure clear communication and alignment.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO processes and templates, supporting maturity initiatives and standardization efforts. Mentor junior PMO members and guide project teams on best PMO practices.
A minimum of 6-9 years of experience in IT PMO or Project Management Office roles is essential.
Possess a strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid approaches, with hands-on experience in project tracking, reporting, and governance.
Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects or programs concurrently.
Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and project tracking tools such as MS Project, JIRA, or Azure DevOps is required. Experience in creating dashboards and management reports, with Power BI being a preferred skill, is highly advantageous.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, IT, or a related field. Certifications like PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, or SAFe are considered a strong asset but not mandatory.
Essential soft skills include a strong attention to detail, a structured and organized approach, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams. A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong follow-through and effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is expected.
