Become a vital part of our elite global commodity trading and risk management network, making a significant impact for our clients. You will collaborate directly with clients and colleagues from The Boston Consulting Group on projects aimed at unlocking value from asset-backed trading strategies, developing new trading capabilities, and addressing modernization and digitalization issues.
Your role will involve analyzing requirements, defining target IT landscapes and trading organizations, managing implementation programs, and enhancing client capabilities.
Lead end-to-end functional streams in large-scale commodity/energy trading transformation and implementation projects, from initial requirements analysis and target architecture design through to successful deployment.
Direct and manage interdisciplinary project teams, including business analysts, developers, and QA specialists, while actively mentoring and fostering their professional development.
Translate strategic business concepts into robust solution architectures and actionable implementation roadmaps, encompassing use case design, capability mapping, requirements engineering, process design, and data analysis.
Take ownership of the architecture and implementation of both commercial off-the-shelf solutions, such as CTRM/ETRM systems, and digital data platforms for value measurement and optimization.
Manage complex transformation programs, ensuring effective governance structures, stakeholder engagement, and risk control at a senior management level.
Uphold industry best practices in energy trading delivery and contribute to the ongoing refinement of methodological standards.
Support business development initiatives, proposal processes, and the strategic expansion of our commodity trading portfolio.
Possess a successfully completed degree in (business) informatics, business administration, or a closely related field. A Bachelor's degree is required.
Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience within energy providers, software implementations, or transformation projects in energy trading or energy IT sectors.
Demonstrated experience in leading project teams or functional streams within complex program environments.
Extensive practical expertise in the design, implementation, and configuration of industry-standard energy trading software, including but not limited to CTRM/ETRM systems, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or comparable platforms.
A strong comprehension of IT landscapes within energy trading environments, encompassing core systems, interfaces, and data architectures.
Exceptional analytical and conceptual abilities, coupled with proven experience in developing compelling business cases.
Comfort and confidence in interactions with senior IT and business stakeholders.
Fluency in both written and spoken German and English is essential.
