This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining critical protocol stack implementations and networking components for Linux and Windows environments. You'll leverage your expertise in C/C++, network programming, and system-level development to create robust and high-performance software solutions. Experience with communication protocols, multithreaded systems, and cross-platform development is key. Familiarity with BACnet or building automation technologies will be a significant advantage.

Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining C/C++ protocol stack implementations and networking components. You will develop and optimize client-server architectures and system-level software, focusing on multithreading, synchronization, and IPC. Troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and debugging using advanced tools like WinDbg and GDB are essential. Responsibilities also extend to creating build configurations with Makefiles and CMake, developing automated test frameworks with Python and Perl, and actively participating in code reviews, design discussions, and Agile team activities. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and adherence to coding standards are paramount.

This role demands a minimum of 5 years of comprehensive software development experience, with strong expertise in C/C++ and modern C++ standards. A solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, software design principles, design patterns, algorithms, and data structures is required. Proficiency in developing for Linux and Windows platforms, coupled with expertise in TCP/IP networking and protocol development, is crucial. You should have hands-on experience with client-server applications, distributed systems, multithreading, synchronization, concurrency programming, and inter-process communication (IPC). Experience with operating system internals, debugging tools (WinDbg, GDB), build systems (Makefiles, CMake), and test automation using Python/Perl is essential. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are expected, along with the ability to collaborate effectively in Agile teams.
